Set in 18th century Korea, this retelling of Dangerous Liaisons follows morality-deficient cousins Lady Cho (Lee Mi-Suk) and Cho-won (Bae Yong-Jun) as they scheme to ruin the lives of innocents. When Lady Cho asks Cho-won to bed her husband's lover-to-be (Lee So-yeong), Cho-won ups the ante and goes after an even more virtuous female. If he succeeds, Lady Cho must sleep with her cousin. A friend thought I'll like this movie. Unfortunately, it was a Thai dubbed version. I prefer to always see any film in the original language. What I liked about this movie is it's beautiful cinetography.
This movie is the Korean version of Cruel Intensions, a movie I really liked. Everything is similar except how the ending is executed. I prefer the Hollywood version's ending. Overall, nothing special about the movie if you have ever seen Cruel Intensions. If not, you may enjoy this movie.

Kmovie - Seducing Mr Perfect (2006)

Syopsis - Wikipedia
Photos - Soompi

Min-joon (Uhm Jung-hwa) is a believer in true love and always very dedicated to her current boyfriend. However, men always break up with her - her latest boyfriend ends their relationship on her birthday. Distracted by the latest break-up, she bumps into a car and a man steps out of it - who turns out to be her new boss, Robin Heiden (Daniel Henney). Heiden has very clear ideas about a relationship and love: both are a game of power and Min-Joon seeks advice from him, as she doesn't want to get dumped again. However, when she starts to treat men like Heiden treats women, she realizes that she prefers her older behaviour, even if that means that she gets dumped again; she doesn't see love as a game of power and never will. Heiden, who has to deal with his own heartbreak, as he loved a woman so much that she had to shoot him to get the message across that she wasn't interested in him, starts to soften at Min-joon's attitude towards life. He eventually falls in love with her and both get into a real relationship and a happy ending of their own.

Seducing Mr Perfect is also known as Seducing Mr Robin. After the success of My Name is Kim Sam Soon, Daniel has been getting offers. Ironically he can not speak Korean because he grew up in the USA. He is the son of an American father and Korean mother. Therefore, his roles have been a Korean guy usually who grew up in the USA. His character Robin understands Korean but speaks back in English. I wish he spoke some English because I can not speak back Hmong that well to elders but I do know how to speak it.

Daniel Henney! That's the only reason why you need to watch this movie! He is a sexy man! Although I prefer Hyun Bin over Daniel Henney in My Name is Kim Sam Soon, there is no denying that Daniel's hot. Daniel is definitely hotter, it's just that in My Name is Kim Sam Soon, I feel in love with Hyun Bin's character instead. Although I criticized his lack of Korean, I still think he did a good job in this movie. I didn't like his acting in My Name is Kim Sam Soon though. I haven't seen Daniel's lasted movie, My Father, which I heard is really good (but now I have, click on link!)

Uhm Jung Hwa is cute, modern, and hip. Doesn't surprise me since she is a successful, popular pop singer in Korea. Admitly, I haven't listened to her music. And I love Kpop!

My complaint about her is her English! She sounds like a FOB! Need a heroine like Jung Ryu Won in My Name is Kim Sam Soon who can speak Korean and English very well. Uhm Jung Hwa's character Min Joon is suppose to be a translater but sounds like she's struggling.

The storyline is cute and predictable. But if you like that stuff, watch it. Although it's not the best, it's definitely worth watching for the hotness of Daniel Henney.

Kmovie - Daisy (2006)

Synopsis - Chinky Movies
Photos - Soompi

Artist Hye-Young (Jeon Ji-Hyeon), a rather naïve Korean girl who lives in Amsterdam , spends her life working in her grandfather's antique shop and doing portraits for tourists. One day, she begins receiving flowers at exactly the same time from a secret admirer, who she believes to be a mystery man from her past who once built her a nice little bridge. One day she meets Jeong-Woo (Lee Seong-Jae), who unbeknownst to her is actually an Interpol agent tracking Asian criminals in the Netherlands.

With Hye-Young assuming that Jeong-Woo is responsible for the flowers, the two fall very slowly into a chaste romantic relationship. However, it turns out that the man sending the flowers is actually Park-Yi (Jeong Woo-Seong), an assassin working for a Chinese crime syndicate.

Two men’s fate cross over each other through one woman, but the hardest decision is yet to be made when Park-Yi receives a picture of Jeong-woo who is his next hit.

Why not? An Andy Lau film featuring the lovely Jeon Ji Hyeon who also goes by the name Jiana now (she's heading to Hollywood everyone!). My friend send me this movie. Not knowing if I would like it or not, I decided to give it a try. Since I wasn't a huge fan of Jeon Ji Hyeon, my friend said that I would enjoy this movie. She's right. I did.

The beginning was very slow. It looked like a confuse love story but it turned out to be more than that! Hye Young thinks that a man name Jeong Woo is the same guys who has been sending her some flowers - daisy. But he's not.

What I like about Daisy, which is shown in a handful of Korean movies, is the movie let the viewers see each one of the three main characters point of view - from their world. I really liked that. You start to sympathize with each character for that reason.

Jeon Ji Hyeon is best known as her role in My Sassy Girl. In addition, she has been in other hit movies like Il Mare and Windstruck. And will soon be in the Hollywood movie in Blood: The Last Vampire which she takes on the name Jiana, making it sound more English. In Daisy, her role isn't as sassy and she is just looking for her soul mate.

This movie still is just wonderful. You see the daisy flower and Jeon Ji Hyeon not realizing the man who has been sending her daisies is right there next to her. I would recommend this movie.

What will she do when she finally learns the truth?

Jeong Woo Seong is really good. Ever since I saw A Moment to Remember, I was impress with him. He is looking really sexy too, by the ways.
